Week 3

This week started off with the visit from Karen, Jeff, and Xavier!  We had a fun breakfast on Saturday in Haile with the three of them, Karen's mom, Melissa, Andrew and Jake, and Binh and her new guy Tim. Annie slept right through it.

On Sunday we had our second adventure to church--Annie and I went early with John so he could practice, and she screamed the entire way there.  Luckily she ate when we got there and then fell asleep and slept right through mass again.  She then screamed all the way to Ballyhoo's, where we were meeting the Creviers for dinner, and then slept through dinner!  Poor Xavier really wanted to share his berries and his elephant toy with her, but she was very boring. Monday of that week we took it easy, just recovered from our outings.


On Tuesday morning, Xavier and fam stopped by again on their way out of town.  And Annie, you guessed it, slept the whole time! Here she is sleeping on her fancy ducks in a row sheets courtesy of Aunt Sally.

In the afternoon, we went for our second stroll. Again, she slept the whole way.  The first one she was more awake and cooing the whole time, but I didn't have the camera with us. At least she seems to like the stroller! 

That night, Binh came over for a birthday dinner, joined by Cyrus and Jeremiah. Annie was so comfortable in her arms that she went 6 hours between meals, a new record for her!

The second half of the week was also quite exciting. On Thursday, we went to see someone about cloth diapers, who has a local in-home store.  She showed us several different options, and we ended up getting a newborn fitted rental set with some covers, to use for 3 months.  Then at the end of that time we'll have some store credit to buy other diapers.  On the way home, we picked out a couple of gator outfits at The Babies' Room--we have to be ready to support daddy in his medical jeopardy in a couple weeks!

Thursday night, Annie got her first bath in the whale tub. She was less than impressed.
That night was also her first attempt at the pacifier, and she took to it like a pro!

On Friday, we all went to John's dentist appointment, then to the bank, and then to Publix. Quite exciting.
