Thanksgiving 2012

Another day of thanks has come and gone.  We are so grateful for all the love in our life, especially for our newest addition, and for being able to spend the day together.

This year, we were able to go home to Clearwater, and we spent 4 days feasting with our families, which have continued to grow since last year at this time. 










We stayed at the Massini beach villa, along with Lisa AND the Burnett family. This made for LOTS of fun cousin adventures for Annie and Charlie... most of which involved Annie doing something silly or yelling loudly, followed by Charlie agreeing wholeheartedly and joining in.  Annie enjoys being a little bossy, and Charlie seems happy enough not to argue with her. 

It also helped that Grandma Gigi was smart enough to have 2 of most things, so there wasn't a lot of fighting over toys.

Some of the extra fun things included playing guitar, watching Christmas movies, blowing bubbles, riding in the wagon, picking out flowers and berries for a centerpiece, and collecting shells at the beach.

 

Eric made his first trip to the beach, too.

At the Calabrese house, Annie found that Uncle Doug and Uncle Greg were willing followers of her orders, playing with Greg's old Brio set, reading books, or watching the Gators. Eric was happy to observe.  Or sleep.

Neither child partook in the Thanksgiving yumminess other than Annie having some corn, apple pie, and a taste of pumpkin cupcake.  Oddly enough, she didn't even want to try the turkey.  We're still working on this pickiness, but at least she enjoys her "special drink" for some calorie and nutrient supplementation now (yum, yum, Pediasure).

We didn't really get together with too many other folks, having just been in town a week ago.  The Ferzolas did come over on Thanksgiving day.

Margot was baptized on the Sunday after Thanksgiving, with John and Lisa as the godparents.  Annie and Charlie enjoyed their front row seats.

Eric has yet to make it through one mass without eating.  He's a growing boy, for sure.

The weekend was officially over when I celebrated a nice quiet birthday at home with our little foursome.  Thanks to everyone for all the birthday wishes!  Looking forward to another year with ever more excitement!
